The Sarasota County Gator Club is providing 12 scholarships to students starting at the University of Florida this fall. The club's support of $6,400 is made possible by fundraisers held by the club throughout the year. Gator Clubs within the Southwest Florida region, of which Sarasota is a part, will provide more than 35 scholarships totaling more than $25,000.
