Sarasota, Fla. (August 25, 2009) – The Sarasota County Gator Club ®, focused on keeping University of Florida alumni and fans involved in the institution and community, recently elected board members to lead the organization in 2009-2010.

Officers are: Janella Leibovitz, president; Emily Sperling, past president; Stacy Alexander, president-elect; Paul Archacki, treasurer; Kim Bendickson, secretary; Amanda Farrington, VP of communications; Peg Pluto, VP of fundraising; Tom Larkins, VP of athletics; Carrie Rasmussen, VP of Scholarships; Cheryl Scholl, VP of community affairs; and Michael Johnson, young alumni coordinator.

At large members are Joe Bell, Merry Blackmon, Carol Eldridge, Sherri Johnson, Jamie Miller, Tom Pluto and Chris Sensenig.

The mission of the Sarasota County Gator Club® is to foster and enhance the relationship between the University of Florida, its alumni, students and friends in the area and to support the university's mission of teaching, research and service.
